Dr Torstrup-Nahay graduated in 1980 from Bishop Hafey High School, Hazleton, Pa, and Pennsylvania State University in 1984 majoring in Animal Production. She was accepted to Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1988.
Dr. Torstrup-Nahay, also know as Dr. Deb, started practicing in 1988, in Hyde Park, New York. She then moved back to Pennsylvania, and worked for 2 years at the Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono. She started her own practice in Freeland, as the Northeast Mobile Vet, in 1993. In 1995 She bought the former Fearnots Fire Hall on Green St, and opened in December of 1995.
She is married with twin boys and a daughter. There are also 2 cats and 2 dogs in her family/
